SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE MY LIFE HAS MOVED ALONG
QUITE NICELY ACTUALLY
QUITE NICELY ACTUALLY
Jay Cowan is my first character on the site. He was born Jacques, but goes by Jay and Jay alone. Jay was originally born in Manchester, England, twenty-two years ago to his parents, who were only teenagers at the time but stood by the choice they'd made to have him. As soon as Jay was born his dad Brendan looked for moving oppertunities and wanted to get his family as far away from Britian as possible. He heard quite a lot of family friends were moving to America, so he lent enough money for travelling expenses and Jay's lived here ever since. Jay grew up poor but happy as a regular greaser, but he's never had the easiest of times. His family went though sickness and the death of his baby sister, Jayni, and his dad was sent to a rehab center with anger issues and depression, and was later moved to prison for murder charges of which he was falsely accused. This left his mum to look after him and his brother Jared. Jay does whatever he can to help his mum out, and loves her and Jared to pieces, but never thinks he can do enough. Jay has a rough, tough personality, a real hard guy. But even though he pretends that this means he's cruel and unkind he's actually friendlier than most. He's as approachable as you can be, so long as you're not gonna insult him or anything. He's currently unemployed but he can't be bothered to get a job. The other greasers sometimes pay him to do a few deals, deliver a few dodgy-sounding packages, that sort of thing. He doesn't care. As long as he gets food and pays his rent, he'll do any kind of job to an extent.
Friends: Jay will have a few friends, most likely greasers, but he's not predjudice. He'll hang around with anyone no matter what group they're in, although he's a bit wary of the socs. Jay's a lot more happier when he's around his friends and for once tries to enjoy himself ---- but doesn't believe he can confide in them with his secrets or personal life. He needs to remember that he can be himself around people and won't have to put on a poker face. Jay likes to have fun and you can count on having a laugh with him, you just have to put up with his bipolar moodswings.
Enemies: Jay will have a lot of enemies because he's so prone to fights. He has a sour attitude and a bad mouth, and he never backs down from a fight. He'll believe in revenge and will want to have the last laugh. He will come across as bitter and cruel on first impressions, so to people who don't give second chances where that's concerned he'll be a most wanted. He's got a bad reputation too and rumours spread around about fights that may or may not have happened in reality, but if you believe one of these and it's not true, and fear him or disrespect for it, Jay will not be happy. He doesn't like the socs and he rebelled in school when he was a teenager, so enemies all around for this guy unfortunately.
Love: Jay finds it hard to love his friends and family on occassion, let alone a real romantic love. He believes he doesn't need any relationships but in reality it would be good for him. He'll accept any kind of love once he finds his comfort spot in it, so this area's pretty much open. He was once fed the lie that love's only an excuse to get your heart broken so he's a little hesitant, but it's be awesome for someone to come along who he can be himself around, not the cruel-hearted sneery guy he pretends to be.
Others: Those weird little other relationships are also open for dis lil lug :P Plot him up baby!
